Sessions We’re Excited About:
Keynote: The State of Enterprise IT
Peyton Maynard-Koran, Senior Director of Worldwide Infrastructure at Whole Foods/Amazon, will be speaking about the change of pace in business that is primarily the direct effect of the advancement of IT. Peyton will cover the challenges and grand opportunities he has faced with his teams through tactical and transformative projects, and his view on the State of Enterprise IT and where it is heading.
Hands-On Session: Building a Kubernetes Cluster and Pipeline in the Amazon Cloud
While containers can help to manage complex systems and processes, the tools to manage them come with their own set of challenges. This hands-on session will walk through the steps to set up a standard DevOps and cluster orchestration platform based on a Kubernetes cluster in AWS. The ultimate goal this platform is to allow developers to further improve the efficiency of their work, repurpose work to save time, and focus on the unique business requirements of each project.
Understand how modern open source technologies such as Kubernetes, Jenkins, Nexus, and GlusterFS may be used to build a DevOps stack as reliable as other packaged options and be inspired to use open source products and participate more in upstream development.
