NSFW, Honest Illustrations Capture How Couples Really Behave Around Each Other

Amanda Oleander, a Los Angeles-based artist, captures intimate moments between couples in her everyday drawings.

Her drawings range from ordinary moments between couples, to truly embarrassing ones. She draws inspiration from her own relationship as well as memories with her family and friends.

She has been together with her boyfriend Joey Rudman for 3 years, and describes her relationship as “pure magic.”

Being in a relationship allows you to let your guard down and these instances stand out to Oleander, who features her own boyfriend Rudman, in her art.

Oleander is drawn to intimate moments people behave behind close doors. These intimate moments “can’t really be documented,” so she decides to draw them.

She hopes that those looking at her work will take the time to appreciate the simple things in life.

Take a look at some of her work below, or you can head over to Instagram or website to see more of them.

Drawing 38/100 of the drawing a day for 100 days challenge. This is a drawing of me cooking yesterday. I was trying to flip the heavy quesadilla and everything spilled and I was hangry and in that moment I wanted to give up on life and then I thought, this will be a great illustration. Everything happens for a reason. And I carried on. 🔥

Drawing 30/100 of the drawing a day for 100 days challenge. Before you keep reading my thought and story behind this drawing comment your interpretation in the comments. There is no wrong or right answer. This is a fun exercise we do on this page sometimes and then reading back everyone’s responses is usually a lot of fun to go through! . . . . . . . . . . . . . This is inspired by a funny pillow talk story. @joeyrudman gave me a kiss on my neck one night and I whispered “I’m melting”. He couldn’t hear so he said “What?” And again I said, “ I’m melting.” Then he said “What did you say? I can’t hear you?” And then I turned around and said I. AM. MELTING. clearly not melting anymore and we both bursted out laughing for what felt like forever. 😂😂 // If you want to share any funny stories under this thread feel free, when you do I always find myself cracking up. (P.s if you want to read a funny comment thread on this page go to the drawing of the girl crying holding the birth control) Title: I AM MELTING ———————————————————————— Time-Lapse of the process of this drawing in the Instagram Story.
