Looks like Prince William and Kate Middleton aren’t the only ones welcoming a new family member on 23 April.

While the world waited in anticipation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to appear on the steps of St. Mary’s Hospital in London, an unidentified couple was greeted by the media and found themselves posing for the world.

Kate Middleton was rushed to the hospital to give birth to the couple’s third child on Monday. Naturally, the press waited outside the hospital to capture images of the baby, once the royal family steps out of the hospital. However, before they managed to appear on the steps, the random couple made their debut first.

ABC News’s James Longman tweeted the photo of the couple, with the caption, “Unsuspecting couple have new baby – and find the world’s press waiting outside.”

Middleton has safely delivered a baby boy. According to the Kensington Palace’s tweet, “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.”

“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news,” the statement continued.
