Avengers: Endgame

The first theory comes from entertainment site Heroic Hollywood, who believes the fourth movie will be named Avengers: Endgame. In Infinity War, ‘Doctor Strange’ reviews all the possibilities of the ‘Avengers’ defeating ‘Thanos’. “We’re in the endgame,” he tells ‘Tony Stark’.

The word is also a throwback to ‘Stark’s line in 2015’s Age of Ultron: “That up there? That’s the endgame.”

Avengers: The Thanos Imperative

Since Infinity War depicts the “hero’s journey” of ‘Thanos’, it’s plausible that he’ll be the main character of the next film.

Avengers: The Thanos Imperative is a 2010 comic series by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, who revived the Guardians of the Galaxy leg of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to The Hollywood Reporter, this story explores Marvel’s cosmic side, something that president Kevin Fiege hopes to dive further in and is currently expanding on with Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn.

Avengers: Infinity Crusade

It’s possible that Marvel will return to the Infinity War comic series and title the next movie like an accompaniment to its predecessor. The Infinity War comic is preceded by The Infinity Crusade, which The Hollywood Reporter admits doesn’t have a lot of concepts to pivot from, but has “a heroic ring to it.”

An earlier theory of the film being named after The Infinity War comic’s prequel, The Infinity Gauntlet, has been debunked by Feige. “That is definitely not what it is called,” he assured. “Definitely not called that. My favorite theory about Avengers 4 is that it will be called Infinity Gauntlet.”

Avengers: The End

In Jim Starlin’s 2003 comic, Marvel: The End, he pictures the end of the Marvel universe. Marvel’s publishing division seems to favor this title, and has created The End spinoffs for individual characters over the years.

Which of these proposed titles is your favorite? You’ll have to wait for a bit before any of these guesses are confirmed, though—Marvel has said it wants people to digest this year’s plot first before they are dropped another bombshell.
