Original ‘Iron Man’ Suit Worth US$320,000 Goes Missing From Film Prop House

The ‘Iron Man’ suit worn by Robert Downey Jr.’s character ‘Tony Stark’ has disappeared.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the crimson-and-gold suit was reported missing from movie prop . The suit was last seen at the prop house in February and has been missing ever since April this year.

The owners checked the storage space on Tuesday and immediately reported the disappearance to the police.

The costume, which was last used in the 2008 Iron Man movie, is worth US$320,000. Could its disappearance be related to Marvel fervour?

If someone can successfully steal a full on #IronMan suit and get away with it, then they deserve to keep it. https://t.co/MkH9ohtIFB

Is it #ironic that they call the LAPD and not the Avengers because the original Iron Man suit is missing… https://t.co/dZbkGSNGDA pic.twitter.com/K7wNo4CI3P

Finally a story that can be served by my immense nerdery – the LAPD is investigating the theft of the Iron Man suit from the Avengers movies. No, I am not making this up. Yes, this is kind of the plot of Spiderman: Homecoming.
