People who spoil movies might have one of two intentions: they’re either out to ruin a good thing for you, or are keen to save you some dollars. Just like ‘Thanos’ in Avengers: Infinity War, the ones who fall in the latter camp believe they’re heroes of some sort; though unbeknownst to them, they’re not the kind of “heroes” you want.
Parodying the Russo Brothers’ ‘Thanos Demands Your Silence’ note, Ryan Reynolds has posted a letter warning “the greaterest fans in the universe” not to spoil the “fun shit” in Deadpool 2 once it hits screens on 18 May.
“Almost everyone involved in the film has given maximum effort the past two years, maintaining the highest level of super secrets, like how David Blaine catches bullets in his mouth. And the secret blend of 11 herbs and spices in Colonel Sanders’ delicious mustache,” he addresses.
“Only a handful of people know the film’s true plot, and one of them is not Ryan Reynolds,” he continues, so don’t grill him for it on Twitter.
He then ends the note in a way that might leave you high and dry. “[I]t’d be super lame to spoil the fact that ‘Deadpool’ dies in this one. Kidding. Not kidding. Kidding?… #WadeWilsonDemandsYourSisterSorryStupidAutoCorrectSilence”
Oh no, now everybody has to watch Deadpool 2 to find out if the anti-hero really dies.
In related news, Reynolds also recently shared a letter on Twitter congratulating Infinity War for smashing the box office. In it, he revealed why ‘Deadpool’ was absent from the hit film.
