Marks & Spencer Rebrands Itself To Markle & Sparkle To Celebrate Royal Wedding

Marks & Spencer has renamed itself to Markle & Sparkle ahead of the Royal wedding on Saturday.

The store has rebranded itself in celebration of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, from 18 May to 20 May. The name change was made at the company’s Windsor branch, where the couple were expected to pass after their joyous ceremony.

The store has also displayed a sparkly sign and have their windows displayed with the Union flag design. Customers can also take pictures in a special Markle & Sparkle selfie booth in the store. The photos taken will be sent to M&S social media pages, and placed in a virtual wedding album that will be gifted to Kensington Palace.

Marketing director of food and hospitality at M&S Sharry Cramond said that as a British brand, the company wishes to do something special to mark the special occasion. The company came up with a bold idea and decided to “marry” both of the names to welcome Meghan Markle to the royal family.

The company wishes to “spark a smile” from the newly-weds and capture the celebratory mood of the British people upon receiving a Hollywood princess into the British royal family.

The retailer’s website, along with its many other stores have also have been spotted with the Markle & Sparkle look.
