Apparently, almost 75 percent of women reportedly experience pain during sex. Some get aches only during certain encounters, while others have excruciating intercourse no matter the partner or position.

After being told to “just drink a glass of wine and relax” each time she consulted her ob-gyn, Brooklyn-based Emily Sauer designed the ‘Ohnut’, the “world’s first” intimate wearable that lets partners customize the depth of penetration.

Sauer created prototypes in her very own kitchen, where she poured silicone into 3D molds. After some beta experiments in the bedroom, she emerged with this version.

The ‘Ohnut’ is so-called because its four rings resemble a stack of donuts slipped onto the male penis.

Aside from pain reduction, the soft wearable is designed to amplify pleasure during intercourse, and comes with “comfort ridges” on both ends for the penis and vagina. These grooves are also made to keep condoms in place.

If you’re wondering, it’s enjoyable for male partners too. According to reviewer Josh, “I couldn’t tell what was my skin and what wasn’t my skin. It felt like a hug!”

The ‘Ohnut’ is currently on Kickstarter mode. See how it works in the video below, and find out more about the food-inspired toy here.
