Our Very Favorite Banana Bread

I’m currently challenging myself to stick with a $70 grocery budget for our family of five. This includes almost all of our breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and dinners + most household products (toiletries, laundry soap, etc.).

One of our often-made recipes is this Banana Bread recipe. It’s so easy to make and uses ingredients you probably already have on hand.

I made it on live video earlier this week — using all whole wheat flour. I’ve found that Banana Bread is a great recipe for all whole wheat flour because it’s so moist anyway, so you don’t have to worry about it being dry!

Here’s my typical Facebook Live setup when I’m making a recipe. Yes, I know that it looks messy, but it gets the job done!

I had frozen these bananas a few weeks ago — we always freeze bananas whole (without peels) in a freezer bag once they are so ripe that no one wants to eat them. And then we save them to use in banana bread! (Here are 55 other recipes for ripe bananas.)

I made half the recipe in a loaf pan and half the recipe in muffins. I love these USA muffin tins that Stacy from Humorous Homemaking sent me as a gift!

We’re using some of the banana bread to share with friends, some for snacks this week, and we’re saving the muffins for snacks next week. Yum!
