Simple Book Cover #1: 1984 – Info Graphic Design

I’m taking the challenge to design the covers of some of my favourite books. The only condition is to make them as simple as possible, and to use just 1 color (+ black/white).

I started with 1984. I wanted something heavily structured, repetitive, monotonous, to represent the feeling of control and loss of personality that the book talks about.

Also, this is my first time doing a mockup so it’s kinda shitty 😛

Any critiques are welcome! I’ll probably continue with And Then They Were None, I Robot, and maybe The Shining.
