Any social media-savvy person would tell you that when the right moment hits, you'll have to be quick on your feet to capture it. Maison Margiela took the expression a little too literally by clamping iPhones to shoes at its ‘Artisanal' Autumn-Winter 2018 showcase.

Designed by Creative Director John Galliano, the whimsical fashion show is inspired by his impressions of the word, “cool,” and the influence of all things digital on the world and his creations.

Apart from iPhone-holding pumps and boots, models were seen wearing puffy jackets, VR headsets, televisions, and tablets. Overall, the collection was truly avant-garde, colorful and out-of-this-world.

Watch a clip of the show, as well as some images of the quirky footwear, below.
