A stretchy ice cream has landed in New York City, and it’s set to put even the most satisfying slime videos to shame.

Republic of Booza serves up modernized booza, a Turkish dessert from the 1500s that is touted to be the oldest form of ice cream in history.

If you lap up at the way melty mozzarella pulls away from pizza, the aesthetically-pleasing stretch of this ice cream will leave you in awe. Thanks to its texture, it’s also denser than regular ice cream.

While traditional booza comes in only a candied cream variation, this parlor serves up 17 ice cream flavors that span classic ones like chocolate and pistachio to experimental versions like seasalt Oreo, red miso, Sichuan white chocolate and ‘Bloody Mary’.

The frozen treat is like “gelato on steroids,” says co-founder Michael Sadler.

If there ever were a crowner for dessert therapy, the eye-catching, creamy booza might just be it.
