Mr Clean’s 2014 Tweet Has Internet Convinced The Mascot Is Really ‘Thanos’

Detergent brand Mr Clean’s namesake mascot and Marvel Cinematic Universe supervillain ‘Thanos’ apparently have one thing in common: they both believe the world needs to be cleansed—and a new discovery perpetuates this theory.
Twitter users have uncovered a cryptic tweet that Mr Clean posted back in 2014, and they’re now suspecting the character and ‘Thanos’ are one and the same.
The image shows the bald mascot wishing upon a star in the night sky, and is captioned with the text, “I wish for world clean.”
Fast forward about four years, and ‘Thanos’ is seen wiping out half of the world’s population in Avengers: Infinity War. It’s for the greater good, he believes.
“Is this not the plot of Infinity War?” asked Twitter user Kalina Newman.
“This is some super villain s***,” remarked Cadejo Jones.
Seeing as how ‘Mr Clean’ first appeared in 1958, and that ‘Thanos’ made his Marvel comic debut in 1973, it’s an eerie possibility that they’re the same person.
