How to Never Mistype an Email Address on Your iPhone – Info Tips and Tricks
If you’re an avid Mail user and always rushing to send an email on your iPhone, mistakes tend to happen frequently. One of iOS’s features on iPhone or iPad can help you call attention to a mistyped email address, with one simple Mail setting.
Here’s how to set it up:
- Go to settings and scroll down to Mail.
- Go to the bottom of the page and click on “Mark Addresses.”
- Enter the email address domains—@gmail.com, @lifehacker.com, @yahoo.com, etc.—you often communicate with and space them out with commas.
Now that you’ve entered the domains, each time you type an email, the app will mark an incorrectly spelled domain in red. The red won’t stop you from sending an email—it’ll just give you a heads up that you should double-check the address.
Keep in mind that any domain you didn’t add to the list will appear in red. So make sure you add all the ones you usually send emails too, even the least common ones.
