A huge statue has been erected at the side of River Thames to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the classic movie Jurassic Park.
Instead of a ferocious-looking dinosaur, a 25-foot statue of one ‘Dr. Ian Malcolm’, played by Jeff Goldblum, in an unbuttoned shirt now basks next to London’s Tower Bridge.
The seductive sculpture was made by NOW TV, which shared images of the amusing art piece on Twitter with the caption, “Can you believe #Jurassic Park is 25? To celebrate, we’ve created a Jurassic-sized homage to heartthrob Jeff Goldblum. He’s waiting for you at Potter’s Field until dinner time tomorrow #JurassicJeff #JP25”
Goldblum reprised his character in the latest Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom installation, where he starred alongside Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.
While some were impressed by the massive statue, others expressed their puzzlement over the Goldblum installation.
One user hilariously tweeted, “25ft Jeff Goldblum statue pops up in London to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Jurassic Park, which was June 11th, a month ago. Also none of the movie was filmed in London nor is Jeff Goldblum a native of the English capital. So let’s just bask in its nonsensical glory.”
Others have taken to capturing a selfie with, and even lying on the torso of massive Goldblum. NOW TV joined in the fun by tweeting, “25 years ago, Jurassic Park (and one of the best moments in movie history) was born. A quarter of a century later, we introduce you to #JurassicJeff #JurassicPark.”
‘#JurassicJeff’ will be in London until 26 July.

There's a giant Jeff Goldblum statue down by Tower Bridge.
It's a bit far-fetched but you should stick with it for the nips alone… pic.twitter.com/K1UEXfRo4e
