“Channel Zero,” “Trial & Error” Both Get Axed
A couple of TV series cancellations today, starting with Syfy’s horror anthology “Channel Zero”. The series has been axed after four seasons with showrunner Nick Antosca confirming the news on Instagram.
Beginning in late 2016, the series was based on the online phenomenon creepypasta involving disturbing horror tales. The first three seasons are currently available to stream anytime on Shudder, with the fourth coming soon to that service.
Meanwhile NBC crime comedy “Trial & Error” has been cancelled after two seasons with no plans for a third. Warner Bros. TV, which produces the show, says: “We are open to an opportunity to continue the series, should one arise in the future.”
Warners has reportedly spent several months trying to find the show a new home but to no success and now options on the cast have expired meaning revival chances are slim. Nicholas D’Agosto, Kristin Chenoweth, Jayma Mays and Sherri Shepherd co-starred.
