Time Card Fraud – Info HR


We had an PT EE who is also the CEO’s son submit time fraud an, should this issue been addressed by HR or Compliance Personal? And can the CEO assist himself in the situation?

Typically, HR addresses time card fraud allegations. A thorough investigation should be completed without assistance from the CEO considering his personal relationship with the employee. Having HR look into the matter will ensure a non-biased investigation his conducted. Further, HR should ensure any disciplinary action taken against the employee is in line with company policy and consistent with past practice.
