Verizon unveils its own VPN service for iOS devices priced at $4/month – Info Mac
Verizon has today announced it will be offering a VPN service available to its customers for use on mobile devices.

As spotted by The Verge, Verizon is calling its new VPN offering Safe-Wi-Fi. The service will only be available to the carrier’s customers using iOS and Android smartphones and tablets for $4/month, which will cover up to 10 devices.
However, many VPN users or those looking to start using one may be wary to use such a service from their carrier. In the past, Verizon has frustrated customers by throttling YouTube and Netflix users before the 22GB throttling limit and constantly making changes to its “unlimited” plans.
While throttling video content wouldn’t specifically be an issue with a VPN from Verizon since it’s based on a Wi-Fi connection, customers may be hesitant to trust big red to protect their internet use overall.
Verizon is looking to entice customers to try out the $4/month service by offering a free 30-day trial. Customers can find Safe Wi-Fi in the My Verizon app under “Products and Devices.”
