Fortnite: When Does Season 5 End? | Gaming News

For the past 10 weeks,  players have been completing 5 challenges, exploring the desert biome, and attempting to decipher the mysteries behind the strange purple cube. However, Season 5 is soon set to come to an end, meaning players are running out of time to complete the Battle Pass and unlock as much new content as possible.

For those wondering, Season 5 in Fortnite is currently scheduled to end on Tuesday, September 25. The exact time is unknown at this point, but it's possible that Season 5 will end at 6am PT, which is the time of day when most Fortnite challenges go live. Alternatively, it could be 1:00am PT, which is when updates are usually released. Regardless, Fortnite players have a little over a week to fully complete the Season 5 Battle Pass.

Once Season 5 ends, the next question on fans' minds is when Season 6 will begin. At the time of this writing, Epic Games has yet to reveal exactly when Season 6 starts, but there are some possibilities. It could start immediately after Season 5 ends, or it could go live the next day, on Wednesday, September 26. Another distinct possibility is that Season 6 in Fortnite will begin on Thursday, September 27, as new battle royale challenges are typically added on Thursday mornings at 6am PT.

While players have a little over a week to complete any remaining Season 5 Battle Pass challenges they may have, they have far less time to complete the High Stakes challenges. Recently, Epic Games added the High Stakes limited-time mode to Fortnite battle royale, and it comes with three challenges of its own. Players have roughly 24 hours remaining to complete the three High Stakes challenges and unlock the rewards associated with it, so anyone wanting that content should get on it.

In the meantime, Fortnite fans can expect Epic Games to continue supporting the game with regular updates between now and when Season 6 launches.

Fortnite is out now in early access for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
