The announcement of Imperva’s in Malaysia is timely. The most high profile ransomware attack in Malaysia took place last year in November 2018, when one of Malaysia’s largest media companies, found its email server held hostage by cyber attackers demanding a ransom payment of RM26.42 million.

Imperva’s Data Security solutions are designed to address Malaysian enterprise breaches such as ransomware, phishing attacks, and web defacements through various security measures, such as data risk analytics, monitoring, masking, discovery, classification, policy-based monitoring, and deception technology. Malaysian enterprises with apps and data in cloud infrastructure will also benefit from Imperva’s patented Cloud WAF technologies that boost web security and automate management.
