Can you class VSCode as an IDE? – Info Linux

Question, after discussing text editor preferences with a friend he’s decided that VSCode is an IDE while Atom is not.

I’m of the opinion while both have the options to be made very power and IDE like, none of them by nature are actually IDE’s

what’s everyone opinion on this?
