Anthem Players Will Get Individual Loot Drops for Missions | Gaming News

As the weeks and months press on to Anthem‘s release, BioWare and Electronic Arts continue to prime potential with plenty of information about what they should expect when the action-RPG finally comes out next year. Just recently, in fact, a lot of particulars came out of the game's closed alpha, with one of the major details confirming that players will get individual loot for completing missions.

According to BioWare Lead Producer Ben Irving, in Anthem, “All loot is personal (not shared with the team), and [BioWare will] make tweaks to ensure that's clear” for all players of the the upcoming multi-platform action-RPG. What's more is that the developer is also doing “a pass on the frequency of loot drops”, which means that players with loot on the brain ought to look forward to even more drops occurring.

Taking all of this into account, it's good to know that Anthem players won't be having to compete with one another over loot drops, as it would certainly undermine the game's focus on cooperative multiplayer. That said, though, most players will have to just wait and find out for themselves if the chase for Anthem‘s best loot will even be worth it. Thankfully, BioWare has promised that the game will have a beta period, so fans will be able to get some hands-on time with the title before launch and find out if it constitutes a Day One purchase.
